What separates the Louisiana marsh from other redfish destinations is the size of the fish! The expansive marsh outside of New Orleans offers fly fishers a prime fishing season all fall and winter. The fishery covers thousands of square miles and offers the perfect habitat for redfish and black drum. As water temperatures drop during winter months, the water clarity increases and you are able to sight cast giant bull redfish in the 15-40 lb. class with fly or conventional tackle in 1-3 feet of water. All the fishing is done out of a poled skiff.
